Strangely—and unfortunately—the appetizers were much tastier than any of the sushi we tried.

I'm not going to lie, this was one of the best meals I've ever had. Try a bunch of appetizers and special rolls and don't forget dessert!

Enjoyable neighborhood Japanese spot. I liked the pork katsu curry (pictured) and the gyoza, but the chirashi and nabeyaki udon also looked good!

The Traditional Breakfast brought me back to Japan. Try it if you've spent time living in Japan or want to embrace traditional food, it's not easy to find! Yaki-salmon, unagi-maki, kinpira, and NATTO!

Came in for take-out maki lunch special. Haven't eaten yet, but they're playing Aphex Twin, which at least indicates they have good taste in music!

This is really the best sushi in all of Brooklyn. It's served the way it should and always go for the Chef special.

Staff Pick! Stephanie (Education): Gen has high-quality, fresh sushi at good prices. The patio out back is a lovely spot for dining in the spring and summer. Enjoy the green or red bean ice cream.
